    Reducing Stress through Authenticity

    Stress is an overused term in our society and one that means something different to everyone. Your stress is not my stress and stress over work for one person could mean stress over too much work while for another it could mean doing work they don’t like, etc.

    I find stress is often either inner focused, due to inner conflicts, or outer focused, due to feeling like there is something external pressing us in some way to do something or not do something.


     
    8 healthy habits

    Enjoy the following 8 healthy habits for your body, relationships, stress levels and more!

    For Your Body - Drink 8 oz of warm water with a squeeze of fresh lemon upon waking and wait at least 15 minutes to eat or brush your teeth to cleanse and tonify the liver and start your day with more energy.


     
    Food Combining 101

    I am often asked about food combining. Here a few quick and healthy food combining ideas. More will be posted soon.

    1) Don't drink with meals. This lessens the ability of your enzymes to break down the food and, in fact, makes it less likely you will use the liquid you drink properly and more likely that you will have an upset stomach or air bubbles:).

    2) Try not to mix dairy with meat. Very hard for your system to break down these foods together.

    3) Eat fruit alone. Fruit has special acids and enzymes in it that create sugars that can ferment and cause digestive and system upsets if mixed with other foods. Also, melons are best eaten alone.

    and that's class one of food combining 101 :)!


     
    Upcoming Mercury Retrograde Dates

    Retrograde in astrological terms is the apparent backward movement of energy through the zodiac of a planet. This changes as well the relationship of that planet to other planets.

    All the planets (excluding the Sun and Moon) may have retrograde periods, however, due to the type of changes that occur during Mercury retrograde, it is the most well-known.


     
    Inspiring Words - Listening to Your Heart

    This month, I’ve decided to offer quotes from real people I have worked with and work with each day as I’m blessed to work with amazing people who teach me every day. Here are a few things I’ve been taught lately.

    By a sweet and smart 12 year old girl who was having fears at night. We had just gone into the fears to release them and I asked her how she felt and she said...

    ‘It doesn’t even make sense to be afraid anymore. Can we talk about my getting a dog now?’

    By a wonderful and energetic 56 year old woman who had decided it was time to live her dreams.

    “Why did I ever fear stepping into myself?”

    By a kind, strong man of 47 years who decided to release an unhealthy relationship and find his way on a new path.

    “I think I finally get how it feels to be alone and not be lonely at all.”
