Class Registration and Cancellation Policies

These policies and procedures have been put in place to ensure I can keep my classes intimate in nature and continue to offer a variety of topics at reasonable prices. 

By registering for any course, you are accepting the below policies.

Note:  For those classes held at spaces other than The Empowerment Centre where registration is taken by the space itself, there may be additional policies to consider.  Information on their cancellation policies will be offered as required.

Class Policies

All classes should be registered for through The Empowerment Centre unless otherwise stipulated. 

All checks should be made out to Jenifer Shapiro unless otherwise stipulated.

To register for a class requires prepayment, except for those courses which are offered free of charge which still require pre-registration. 

There will be no refunds of any kind offered less than 14 days prior to a course for any reason. 14 days or more prior to a course up to 7 days before the course, you may choose to place your full investment toward another course.  Any missed courses without communication with us will forfeit the fee of the course.

Emergencies happen, in emergency cases up to the discretion of Jenifer (who is more than reasonable) - the course fees may go to a future course.

If there are any cancellations made by The Empowerment Centre for a course for any reason a full refund will of course be made to you or you may choose to place your full investment toward another course.   For classes cancelled by TEC, class cancellation calls are made 48 hours prior to a course except for in emergency situations.
